The Dispute
In 2023, several Loona members entered a contract dispute with Blockberry Creative, the agency that managed the group. The disagreement centered on contract terms and the members' treatment, leading to legal action that disrupted Loona's activities as a unified group. While the full details remain complex and legally contested, the core issue was clear: the members sought better terms and more control over their work.
As a result, Loona ceased promotions and group releases under Blockberry Creative. The members' individual contracts and futures became uncertain, leaving a gap in the release schedule that had defined Orbits' experience for years.
Why Orbits Boycotted
In response to the dispute, a significant portion of the fandom organized a boycott of Blockberry Creative–affiliated releases and promotions. The goal was to show solidarity with the members and to redirect fan spending and attention toward their independent projects instead.
The boycott was not uniform across the fandom — some Orbits continued to support all releases, while others drew different lines about which projects to support or avoid. This reflected the messy reality of the situation: there was no single "right" stance, and Orbits held different views on how best to support the members.
For many, the boycott was a way to say: we stand with you, and we'll follow you wherever you go next.
Redebuts & New Projects
Out of the disruption came new opportunities. Former Loona members have launched their own projects, giving Orbits fresh music and content to follow:

These projects represent both a loss — Loona as originally formed may never reunite — and an opening: the members have more agency, and Orbits have more voices and visions to follow.
